Something that I have realized is that this book has been so very difficult to write. There is so much to this story, so much that I don't want to miss, that I am having the hardest time finding the motivation to tackle it.
Home is book four in the series, and being book four, there is so much that is already established in this series. However, this book also has so much that is new. (No, I will not spoil it, but if you have read the series this far, you know that our friend Esmari has made a pivotal decision in the end of True, opening so many new things in the next book.)
Up until this book, I have had so much ease and so much motivation to write, but Home has been the biggest challenge in the series thus far. As it stands, I plan to have a total of 6 books in this series. (Please know that this is not set in stone...) So, this book is essential for setting up some key moments, some key points for the upcoming books.
This book is arguably the pivot of the series. And in it, Esmari is struggling, and so am I as the writer of her series.
We are a few short months from my goal publication date of this book, and I AM NOT FINISHED. Yes, you read that right. We are into September, and the book is still being written. Terrifying to be honest. I thought the last book was down to the wire, but this one... this might be cutting it a bit too close.
I do work well under pressure, but this is a whole new concept of that. And what's sillier is that I am trying to meet a self made goal because I just like the consistency of the date...
My lovely readers, know that book 4 is coming. It will get done. In the meantime, send me motivation. And if there is anything you wish to have more insight into in the meantime, I would love to hear from you!
